The MilDef ESW1124 is a rugged, passively cooled, unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet switch built to MilDef's 19inch/2 small form factor standard. It provides 8 x 1000BASE-T copper PoE ports and 2 x 1000BASE-SX fiber ports in a 1U chassis measuring 220 x 44 x 228 mm. The ESW1124 is a member of the ESW1100 Series and is designed from the ground up for defence applications. It requires no configuration before use -- simply plug in cables and data streams immediately. The unit is built on a Vitesse switch architecture and conforms to IEEE 802.3u. Power over Ethernet is supported on all 8 copper ports per IEEE 802.3af (Mode A). Power input is MIL-STD-1275D compliant. MilDef products are operationally proven and deployed in military operations in over 60 countries. Spare parts are stocked and units serviced for 5 years after end-of-life.
